At East Para Primary School we have a whole school approach to Literacy, which includes:

  • Having high expectations for all students.

  • Providing uninterrupted teaching time.

  • Focused teaching related to student need.

  • A focus on metacognition (students thinking about their thinking) so students can identify and use strategies that support them to be proficient users of English.

School English Agreements identify the testing that occurs, the year level benchmark and class expectations that support each student to improve their outcomes.
